a bored afternoon creates: XMMS2tray

Posted by freezombie | 10 Aug, 2006, 21:01
I didn't have much to do yesterday and decided to give xmms2 a try. After a bit of playing around and #xmms2 chatting, I wrote XMMS2tray, a simple XMMS2 client that displays an icon in the X11 system tray and nice notification bubbled whenever the song changed. With customizable menu and all. It's written in python, of course ;) There will probably be another release soon due to the bunch of patches I got from eleusis, an xmms developer. Of course XMMS2tray is listed in the official XMMS2 client list :D

I'll not be there from July 30 to August 7

I'm on a scout camp in Coburg celebrating the 25th anniversary of our scout organization, the Pfadfinderbund Weltenbummler

see you then - I'll drop by in the usual placs like FreeNode #libervis and various IM networks like jabber.

o-ho ! a blog.

Posted by freezombie | 28 Jul, 2006, 16:18

so, this is my shiny new blog right at Libervis.community

I probably should start with a few notes about who I am.

On the net, I usually call myself free-zombie, except when the system (digg.com or this place) supports no dashes in names. My real life (tm) name is Thomas Jollans and I live in Bavaria, Germany.
I'm all around the Libervis network, especially active on #libervis and Nuxified.org (where I am a moderator).

I am addicted to python - a Pythæholic.

In my spare time I work on a website framework (with focus on CMSability) in python. That's enough for now. :)
