p2pnet talks to AllofMP3.com
We might be a little late with this, but it is still a story quite worth featuring. P2PNet has done an interview with AllOfMP3.com focusing mostly on issues surrounding US centered copyright industry attacks on the company.
"An incredible, and inordinate, amount of mainstream media time is devoted to spreading the wild fiction that copyright infringement of corporate movies and music is threatening world economies.
AllofMP3.com is a small Russian company which has become the international poster child for attacks on independent music download sites."
P2Pnet.net For Sale
The P2Pnet news site is now for sale. The site runs news articles which are relevant to peer to peer (P2P) file sharing, showing up the bullying tactics of the RIAA, MPAA and the Big 4 Organised Music Cartel (EMI, Vivendi Universal, Sony BMG and Warner Music).
But for Jon Newton, who runs the site, "time and money have run out for p2pnet.net". He cites the loss of advertising revenue due to actions against a number of his advertisers as a reason he can no longer continue with the project.
Jon hopes sell the site to someone who'll keep it going, and would like to keep an editorial position, but if needed he'll just sell the domain and have the current site archived for future posterity.
