Big win for Linux

That's great. Of course it was obvious this would happen at some point in time, and a new version of windows would be an obvious time. Great to know it's vista and not whatever comes after vista.

This is indeed good news, could Vista mark the great downfall of MS?

These are sure some great news. Let's just hope IBM follows through this plan and then extends it to other IBM divisions worldwide.

It sure could. Alot of organizations and companies as well as governments and individuals are switching to GNU/Linux instead of planning to go with Vista which means Vista is basically loosing potential buyers before it's even beer released The bad publicity that DRM is getting along with the bad publicity Microsoft as a company is getting (you almost hear more about it in courts than at work on good software, not to mention it spends more money on other things instead of software) is continiously raising people's awareness of the "dark side" of Microsoft to to speak and the evergrowing penetration of GNU/Linux in all computing markets is having many people realize there is an alternative to the proprietary, monopolized Microsoft software.

If there was ever a time we could say Microsoft is in a turmoil and pressured high from multiple sides up to a point it seems as it's gonna break somewhere, than it is today.
