Note: Coral QQ is a "loader" program for the QQ IM program (a popular Chinese IM program), which made several enhancements to QQ and also blocked the ads.

just a note: Tencent also has several patents like "use smiley in IM program" or "software UI skinning", and they are also actively changing their protocol to block free software like Pidgin (which had support of QQ since it's renamed from "Gaim").
