Hello all

Hi all, I found this site looking for Xoops themes of all things.

I (very) small company that specialises in LAMP development and hope to build a community of information management specialists that recognise the values lies in the application of information not is its description.

Having started out as a biologist in the 70's and then Compute Science, I agree 100% with the argument that Computing should be treated like mathematics or economics, open and free for use by all.

Over (down) here we are just about to find out the real implications of a free trade agreement with the US. We may have to give up our Copyright privileges in favour of the flawed US model.

I am also a passionate supportor of free education and health care for all.

THanks for a place to rant.

These Free Trade Agreements seem to be a problem for an increasing number of coutries as they get infected with an ever more dracionian copyright system in US. It's now pretty easy to recognize what anti-globalization (or alter-globalization) fights against. The globalization which helps only the richest and harms everyone else, set through these agreements..

Anyway, yeah, this can be a good place to rant. ;-) Hopefully we'll have some nice discussions.

Btw, this site probably wont be on XOOPS for long as we're working on a switch to Drupal.
