ippimail - email with a conscience?

You can still host your own email or get an account on a friend's server.

Ippimail is maturing slowly. What do you think?

I tried it and while I didn't send or recieve much email through it yet I've given the address to a friend that makes music to send me a track and it all went pretty good. There's quite a bit of space there for such stuff and I like it.

I think I'll continue using it at least as an alternative email address to my current one. So overall I like it so far.

Btw, to get notified of reply you can clikc on "subscribe post" on the first thread post.

Good to hear that. I hope you'll come to use it more and more.

Don't forget that you can forward mail to another address, and keep a copy on the ippimail server as well if you want. We can even collect mail from most other accounts.

It's easy to switch to an ippimail account ;-)

Thanks for that pointer. I forgot about forwarding, though I'm not sure I'd want to do that since I'm getting quite a bit of spam on my current address which would also be forwarded to ippimail address. I'd rather like a fresh start so I'll probably just be giving the new ippimail address to people more than the old one (kind of a gradual switch process).

It's pretty simple to keep spambots from getting to you. Just never put your email address in cleartext (user@domain becomes user _a-t domain or user a|t domain).
