Like RMS? How old are you?
Sun, 2005-02-27 10:22
Talking on IRC with one of our members here (webworker) he gave me a nice idea for a poll. And thus i'm doing it here, the poll is attached above this thread and put on the front page:
There are two questions involved here? Do you like RMS (Richard Matthew Stallman) and if you do or don't how old are you?
The point is (you guessed) to see the age profile of people that do like RMS and his style and anything about him versus age profiles of those who don't.
You can use this thread to discuss it..
Thx
Dan

I don't really dislike him, I'm neutral. But I do dislike the GPL so I voted no.
I think this will only give you an age profile of libervis members. Oh, and everyone will know in what age category I am.
EDIT: flame-prevention: I dislike closed source even more than GPL.
Well when it comes to the median I will probably pull the statistics once this is over down. Being 15, it is arguable that I sometimes don't bother too much about the licenses of the software I use. In fact, most people my age couldn't care less.
Truth be told, when it comes to me - I consider the GPL nice - it hasn't bitten me in the ass yet as the saying goes. :-P I for one like it more than any closed source licenses - but like I said truth be told - if there is something I want, and I can get it for nothing - then well, such courses are acceptable, even if...
:-) That is my prespective.

If the area around my avatar is dark gray chances are you are using MS Internet Explorer, one of the few browsers that do not have full PNG-24 support. Considered trying [url=http://bro
Yes I like RMS, the work he has done to help free software is important, though I may disagree with him sometimes, one must say his hair's neat :-P
I like RMS. Hhe has done so much for free-software. I admire his determination and willingness to speak out. That said, I don't always agree with him
I am sort of wondering why this thread was brought back from the dead. Not that there is anything wrong with doing that.
1. Sure :-)
2. I'm 20 and will be 21 from the day after tomorrow :-D
EDIT: wow, I didn't noticed that this thread is one years old :-)

Someone browsed through forums and saw it and wanted to reply. :-D
Oh.. well I'm 21 now and I still like RMS. ;-) I now even had the pleasure of meeting and talking to him. His style definitely isn't the one of a shiny IT expert (you know, a black suit with a tie, licked up hair), but rather one of a plain (though maybe not so common) man. :-) And I don't mind that.
