Sad news guys - sorry.
As a few of you may have noticed that I have gotten myself my own little site and that I have been diving into HTML, CSS and PHP a bit too now.
I've updated the place over 4 times now, and by the time you folks read this I will have done so again (and trust me I changed the layout on the index page so it looks awesome!). Last night I managed to install a guest book, and shortly after a b2e, or b2evolution weblog. This means that eventually I will move my weblog from Libervis over onto mine. My posts and such will of course stay here, but all the new ones will be present on my site. I really like b2e, especially for what I deem necessary.
Sorry if this annoys anyone, but yea. Nevertheless my blog and many more posts will still be around, so if you made a habbit of reading my weblog, bookmark mine on my site.
Thanks guys, and especially Daniel for allowing me to start my real first blog. Cheers all,
Pascal Klein.

If the area around my avatar is dark gray chances are you are using MS Internet Explorer, one of the few browsers that do not have full PNG-24 support. Considered trying [url=http://bro

There's nothing wrong with that, surely. That's what the Internet's about. It's great you're getting into things. :-)
It would be interesting, however, if we could use RSS/ATOM/XML and tags to have a centralised FOSS homepage. If you don't understand what I mean, it'd be awesome for the libervis page to simply suck all the relevant articles from everyone else's webpages and incorporate it into the front page/blogs page/articles page or something.
I wonder if that's possible. *Goes off to think*

Yeah I suppose. Mmh, I just wanted to make sure that atleast Daniel was informed. :-)
Thanks Ashley

Well, being too sad about it would make me a bit selfish. But i'm not sad. You're a great member of this community Pascal nevertheless so no matter if you're gonna blog inhere or on your own site it's really not a problem.
And as Ashley proposed, it can indeed be done.
Just look at the news headlines and that latest news from lxer block below forums and other sections. It all comes from one great XOOPS module called xhld which can be used for feeding blogs as well.
I can create a new section of the site just for that and/or feed the blogs on the homepage as well. I'll see what could be best. Your suggestions are welcome of course. :-)
Goog luck Pascal :-)
BTW: If we feed libervis from your blog you'll always have readers there ;-) Cool isn't it!
Thanks

Mhh, you speak French, eh?
Thanks Daniel - and concerning the tagging idea (feeding recent blog posts from my site to yours...) it sound too good to be true.

No, no, it's not sad at all.
You (as a blogger) are born on Libervis. Now you thought it was time to become independ and to create your own little home. So you did. If Libervis was a possesive mother then it would be sad. But Libervis values Freedom and therefore cannot be possesive.
Hm... maybe I should get myself another coffee :-).

While you're getting one, grab one for me. :-) Nice wording there. :-D

Check out Planet, it's a python script which uses the Universal Feed Parser to generate a page of blog postings from a distributed set of people. That's what Planet Gnome and Planet KDE use, for example. I've got a copy of it running on my site just to aggregate all my friends' blogs for easy reading.
It does a good job, and is very themeable.

I'll check it out, thanks for suggestion.
I am however not sure if it is or can be integrated with XOOPS (web portal system used here), but i'll look into it anyway. If not, i think some XOOPS modules such as xhld possibly will do.

Since it generates static HTML and you can theme it, well, if you need a more robust feed parser, it can generate pages which match your XOOPS site.
Just a thought.
