Submitted by libervisco on Tue, 2008-08-05 19:57. Tags:Jono Bacon who is an Ubuntu Community Manager at Canonical announced a rather brilliant idea, to replace the "example-content" on Ubuntu live CDs and default installations with an Ubuntu Free Culture Showcase, a set of chosen content that is given under terms of Creative Commons Attribution - ShareAlike. This way they can both show what can be done with Ubuntu, as with the "example-content" folder and promote Free Culture.

Submitted by libervisco on Sat, 2007-03-03 04:03. Tags:I just came across a video that is just absolutely awesome. I am not sure how to describe it. It is a collage of images and text sending such a clear message about the nature of the web. It is very pro Free Culture. Using KeepVid.com I got a direct download link so you don't need flash to view it.
Enjoy!
