A screenshot of my current KDE desktop. I tried to make a good looking desktop using only passive elements (ie. no Karamba or any other CPU eaters). Distibution is PCLinuxOS. KDE version is 3.4.3.
On the bottom panel there are kbfx start buton, Taskbar v2, system tray, pager and clock. Right panel autohides when you move cursor off it. That great thing that rolls down from the top of the screen is Yakuake. |

This is a photo of shaved me on a photo holder.
Tools used are (in the order of use) shaving machine, digital camera, Blender, YafRay and Gimp.
Wall and wood textures are from Mayang's Free Texture Library. |

Had nothing to do the other day so I did some lighters. The lighter was lying on the table in front of me as I stared stupidly to the screen feeling like doing nothing, smoking cigarette after cigarette after cigarette ...

This is a screenshoot of my cluttered XFCE 4.2 desktop.
On active desktop it shows Gnome Terminal, Konqueror file manager, Beep Media Player, MPlayer and GAIM.
On the other desktops (and in system tray positioned top-right) one can see that there are also running The Gimp, Azureus (probably the best BitTorrent client), Downloader for X, X-Chat, Klipper (KDE clipboard tool), and XFCE Calendar.
At the bottom of the screen there is XFCE panel with lots of goodies installed (mini command line, system buttons, CPU monitor, memory monitor, swap monitor, uptime monitor, network monitor, clock and weather applet).
Before anyone asks, off course I don't configure an app while listening to music while watching a video while doing something in Gimp while... All those apps are running for the sake of the cluttered screenshot  .
The system is freshly updated Mandrake GNU/Linux 10.1. |
