Morgan Webb brings an overview of three very interesting TED talks, about aging prevention or life extension, technological transformation of humanity (Kurzweil's singularity) and regrowing of body parts. She also links to the full talks at

Quite an impressive documentary featuring the words of Arundhati Roy "on such things as the war on terror, corporate globalization, justice and the growing civil unrest".

Some of the things that ring loudest for me is the way she speaks on anti-nationalism and anti-americanism and then reveals american involvement in so much more than I actually knew of or thought, but in a way that doesn't make it seem like a conspiracy theory, but merely history.

Web 2.0 is us! (video)

I just came across a video that is just absolutely awesome. I am not sure how to describe it. It is a collage of images and text sending such a clear message about the nature of the web. It is very pro Free Culture. Using I got a direct download link so you don't need flash to view it. Smiling

* Link updated to the final version of the video.

If there is any reason why is better than YouTube then that's the fact that they offer a direct download of videos through their alternate video format drop down box.

This way you don't necessarily need flash to play a video, and you don't need any scripts (like youtube-dl) to extract the flash video file either (.flv). They offer it themselves. Smiling
