Re: Free software mag

It is great news to see a new "FOSS" magazine being called "Free Software" instead of "open source". Projects like that might just contribute to the revival of the term "Free Software" as more and more people start to understand it's real and intended meaning as well as switch through open source thinking to pure free software thinking.

Also, i just read this interesting article there: Free Software is a problem for Microsoft. It's a nice way of starting a new magazine.. slap the MS, call the FOSS nation for attention - the beast is awakening.. (i'll open a new thread on this).

Thank you
Daniel

Yes, I have just downloaded issue 1 and read Editorial and a couple of articles and must say that this is indeed highly professional and simply great magazine.

I am so damn glad that the days of digging up information about Free Software from other magazines and news sites are gone now :-).

This is indeed a great thing for Free Software.

I downloaded issue 'zero' and one in PDF, yet I cannot view them - and I gave up searching for the html version.

Is it just me - or is this "no-viewable" problems occuring to anyone else?

If the area around my avatar is dark gray chances are you are using MS Internet Explorer, one of the few browsers that do not have full PNG-24 support. Considered trying [url=http://bro

Do you have kghostview (part of KDE) or xpdf installed? I had no problems opening this PDF with kghostview (although kghostview has problems with some PDF files, maybe you have older version? I am running KDE 3.2 with kghostview 0.2).
