I got my first TIVO about two years ago and I've been hooked ever since... Its totally changed the way I watch TV and given me more free time. I love fast forwarding through the commercials and watching shows whenever I want/.

I noticed an opensource solution to TIVO called Freevo: http://freevo.sourceforge.net/

From the screenshots: http://freevo.sourceforge.net/screenshots.html it looks awesome!

Has anyone tried this yet? I hear its a pain to install but very versital. You can install game emulators in there and web elements too.

THOUGHTS?

Re: Freevo

Oh man... You have got to try it!

Do you have TV Guide avalible in your country? Because thats what Freevo runs its guide off of. If you do you have got to try it. It changes everything!

Theres actually another program out there too called MythTV: http://www.mythtv.org/

Another good solution!
