Hello All members

I would like to open a thread asking for all who are willing to contribute to this site that how we all can make this forums famous and improvements that can be made to the site so that it makes much more valuable contribution to opensource community.

I have some opinions and that I am sharing here and would like you also to share the same.

1. Promote in sites where there is discussion about opensource but does not have a disscussion board.
2. Invite people from Sourceforge who are willing to contribute to opensource and resources like this.

Thanks and hope to get more people posting there opinion.

Re: Libervis.com

Perhaps create our own Open Source application?
Something small but useful, and make this the center for its development.

Re: Libervis.com

Hey man.. That's a great idea!

It's only that i'm not a programmer and i'm only about to start learning PHP. But maybe someone would be interested in starting this project which will then be hosted on this site.
I would additionally do anything in my power to help, especially when i get to know more about PHP programming.

But Cianuro, that's a genious idea!
Anyone interested in leading that kind of project??

Thank you!
Daniel :-)

Re: Libervis.com

Well, Shabbir, you'll be welcome to contribute then. But we'll probably should find someone else interested in being a lead developer of this project.

If anyone interested and has any ideas, feel free to post here.

So, what does anyone propose to be a libervis.com special project. Shoutbox is a nice idea, but there are probably alot of shoutboxes around on sites. I could put one on this site if you want. Smiling It would be great to do something innovative. My mind is kind of blank currently, except if you'll take AI agent you could talk to about free software as an idea. That's what's on my mind currently, but i don't know how achieveable is it since i am not a programmer and i don't want to push the volonteer too much.. Anyway, if you think it's good let me know.

Thanks.
Daniel :-)

Such an AI would be very difficult, if you want it to have a more or less normal conversation with the user.
My mind is blank too...

Re: Libervis.com

Okay.. are there any other ideas then?

We should propose a few good ideas and than i'll make a poll on homepage about it. What wins will get on. Of course, if there's a volonteer programmer to start it all?

I'll search on other forums to see if anyone's interested in working on this.

Thanks.
Daniel
