I just stumbled upon this:

Quote:

Ourmedia's goal is to expose, advance and preserve digital creativity at the grassroots level. The site serves as a central gathering spot where professionals and amateurs come together to share works, offer tips and tutorials, and interact in a combination community space and virtual library that will preserve these works for future generations. We want to enable people anywhere in the world to tap into this rich repository of media and create image albums, movie and music jukeboxes and more.

If the area around my avatar is dark gray chances are you are using MS Internet Explorer, one of the few browsers that do not have full PNG-24 support. Considered trying [url=http://bro

Re: publish your free media for free, forever

I know about ourmedia. I submit one of my tracks to it this week. I just don't like them using Java for streaming. I don't want to use Java and that leaves me in dark with them. Still, it may be worth uploading because tracks also are put on archive.org where I could link to from my music homepage as mere hosting is all I really want for our music.

Still, ourmedia seems like a great project and it has my full support. If they could only get rid of this Java requirement, I'll be even more happy with them.
